The information and recommendations in this Travel Advice Policy is general in nature only and does not constitute, and is not a substitute for, legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible and liable for making enquiries and obtaining any necessary advice for your individual circumstances or requirements.   1. TRAVEL INSURANCE
    1. We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance. The Australian Government also strongly recommends that all travellers obtain travel insurance prior to travel.
    2. We can provide you with general information about travel insurance at the time of booking. However, we are unable to, and will not, provide you with advice regarding whether any particular travel insurance product (whether available through us or another travel insurance provider) is suitable for your individual circumstances. It is your sole responsibility to consider the utility and benefit of any travel insurance products available to you.
    3. You should obtain a product disclosure statement relating to the travel insurance product you are considering purchasing and should read that documentation before making any decision about whether to acquire the product.     4. If you do not obtain travel insurance, you acknowledge that you may be required to sign a disclaimer.
  2. TRAVEL ADVICE
    1. For general travel advice as well as specific advice relating to the destination you wish to visit, we recommend that you contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) or visit their website at www.smartraveller.gov.au
    2. You can also register your travel plans with DFAT so that you may be more easily contacted in case of an emergency.
  3. HEALTH
    1. General health advice for the destination you wish to visit can be found from DFAT or visit www.smartraveller.gov.au
    2. Health requirements including vaccinations are the responsibility of the individual traveller and we recommend that you seek advice from a qualified medical professional prior to travel.
  4. PASSPORTS & VISAS
    1. Visas, including transit visas, are the travellers own responsibility. Visa requirements and conditions of entry may change without notice and it is also the traveller’s own responsibility to ensure that they are up-to-date with any changes.     2. Please check with the respective Embassy or Consulate of each country that you are travelling to, as many destinations require visas for both Australians and non-Australian passport holders.
    3. You need to ensure that you have at least 6 months validity on your passport from the date of your departure return.
    4. For international travellers booked on flights to the United States (including Hawaii) it is now mandatory, under the Visa Waiver Program to receive an electronic authorisation known as ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) no less than 72 hours before travel to the USA.   5. TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
    1. Travel Documents include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider.
    2. Travel Documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including (without limitation) being non-refundable, non-date-changeable and subject to cancellation, re-issue and/or amendment fees.
    3. Travel Documents are generally non-transferable.
    4. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder and some carriers will deny carriage if the name varies from the passport or photo identification provided and the booking may be cancelled.
    5. An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking and the booking being cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility
    6. It is your responsibility to ensure you have all required Travel Documents prior to travel.
    7. We will not be held responsible for tickets and/or documentation lost by you or a third party. Any charges associated with re-issue and re-sending of tickets and/or documentation will be at your expense.
    8. Please advise us immediately of any errors.
  6. SCHEDULE CHANGES
    1. We strongly recommend that you contact your airline 24 hours prior to departure to confirm departure times.
  7. NO SHOW
    1. If you have a booking for a Travel Product, (including flights and accommodation) but you do not show up to check-in or otherwise do not avail yourself of such Travel Product, you will not be entitled to any refund from us. However, you may be entitled to a refund of any departure tax you may have paid for your flight (excluding low cost flights).
